Kicking off Friday afternoon, we open with the Steak Cookoff Association “Chill & Grill” competition, where local legends go head‑to‑head with visiting international cooks in a series of steak and ancillary dish battles.

Saturday is the main event with the Cook Islands Barbecue Alliance “Low & Slow” competition day. Expect live music, live‑fire cooking demos, with New Zealand BBQ Champions & a crew of Kiwi Pitmasters serving up a mouth‑watering lineup of barbecue meats. All proceeds fundraised are going to a great cause through local community and the Cook Islands BBQ Alliance international team.

Watch local teams take on international pitmasters across four categories: Chicken, Ribs, Pork, and Brisket, and find out who will be crowned the 2026 Grand Champion! With a full bar, epic barbecue plates, and top‑tier competition BBQ on offer, this is a weekend you don’t want to miss!
